Shillong Teer Rules

Are you curious about the Rules to play the Shillong Teer? This is the list of a very important guidelines mentioned in every game before they start playing and it's very essential to know by every contestant who taking part in the contest. These rules are the same for every contestant taking part in the same game. Earlier before the legalization of this Teer game, there were many variation of rules from different origins with respect to different clubs, location or villages. To ensure the proper and fair management of the game, these new same rules were made.

Rule #1 - The time limit. The maximum time given to shoot an arrow is 2 minutes for 3 ends and for 6 ends the maximum time given is 4 minutes.

Rule #2 - No other accessories or equipment are allowed to be used during game-play that may result in defeating the opponent through unfair means.

Rule #3 - Contestants taking part in the game are not allowed to raise earlier than the signal. If they do so then it will be counted as foul or the contestant also can be disqualified from the game.

Rule #4 - During the shot if the arrow drops or misfires, it is strictly prohibited to take a re-shot at any circumstances.

Rule #5 - The arrow that is rebounded or hangs from the target is still counted for the score based on the mark it makes on the target.

Rule #6 - During the game-play, if the contestant’s equipment gets damaged, the player can request the judge for its replacement and may also have time extra allowances.
